「今年的寒假作業很特別喔。老師給我們一包穀子和一包泥土，我們要帶回去育苗，等到開學後就要插秧了……」

從插秧、除蟲、測量稻苗成長的速度、灌溉、到最後的收割，這群國小學生在手忙腳亂的培育與耐心等待過程中，心中也漸漸長出對大地的尊敬。值得一提的是，這部影片雖短小，卻是龍肚國小小朋友們共同創作的成果，在某些場景的拍攝過程中，更有全校師生一齊努力的痕跡。在台灣媒體全面性地以成人觀點論述議題時，本作品的誕生更顯珍貴。本片並於2006台灣國際兒童電視影展獲選「兒童人氣獎」。

A group of schoolchildren learn patience and gain a newly-found respect for the earth by planting and cultivating rice. This short film was made by director Fong, Ze-sen and Huang Hong-song, who are schoolteachers at Meinung Longdu Elementary School in Kaohsiung County. The film will be followed by a discussion on organic farming, which will be mediated by Chung Yong-feng and Huang Hong-song.

黃鴻松 高雄縣美濃龍肚國小教導主任

鍾永豐 詩人、前交工樂隊的筆手，出生於美濃鎮菸農家庭，二十三歲開始以客家話語寫詩，九○年初任美濃愛鄉協進會總幹事，組織反水庫社會運動。1999年與林生祥整理家中傳統菸樓，成立「第七小組菸樓錄音室」與「交工樂隊」，設立「串聯有聲出版社」，獨立發行《我就等來唱山歌》專輯，獲2000年金曲獎非流行類最佳歌詞獎，2002年交工樂隊以《菊花夜行軍》獲得金曲獎最佳樂團。2005年以《臨暗》獲金曲獎最佳流行音樂作詞獎，現任嘉義縣文化局長。

Chung, Yong-fong Chung Yong-feng is a poet best known for his collaborations with the now-defunct Labor Exchange Band and band leader Lin Sheng-xiang. Chung's social activism was a major influence in the lyrics he wrote for Labor Exchange's first album, Let Us Sing the Mountain Songs. The album, which won a Golden Melody Award for best lyrics, was a response to a government project to build a dam in Chung and Lin’s hometown of Meinong – a move that would have destroyed the surrounding countryside. Chung took an active part in the movement that successfully stopped construction of the dam. He currently serves as the Director of the Chiayi County Bureau of Cultural Affairs.
