舞台上、麥克風前，他們是「檳榔兄弟」。

舞台下，迴谷和布都上山下海做粗工，達克達是外科醫生，阿比在舞團工作。

他們來自東台灣海岸旁的水璉村。這組有著家族血緣關係的兄弟／表兄弟，從未學過音樂，卻能以成熟的彈唱、創作與編曲能力自阿美族傳統土壤中種出壯麗的音樂新樹。這部紀錄片歷時十年拍攝，呈現檳榔兄弟活躍的舞台姿態、隨興而至的生活態度以及創作的方法及精神。

Directors Xie Chia-kuen and Lin Hong-jie look at the lives of the Betel Nuts Brothers onstage and offstage. Footage spanning ten years offer a glimpse of the lives of Huegu, Docdoc, Abi, and Budu, and the creative process behind their music, which is inspired by traditional Pangcah songs.
